This is the oldest dream I can remember having. I don't know how old I was but it was well before I started Kindergarten. I dreamed about wires hanging from a pole like phone wires. Then I felt like I was being squeezed through one of the wires.I know I this dream recurred a few times and it was very scary to me. I wonder if being squeezed through a narrow opening is a memory of being born.
That's a good insight....that it is a memory of being born. I remember some early dreams too....
ReplyDeleteIt also occurs to me that the live wires are very similar to the energized spine in kundalini awakening and movement -- energy running up the spine, which is like a new birth into the process of enlightenment. Could have been prophetic of your fear of the process when you were really young -- if you had the dream again, with all of your life experience, you might find the squeezing through as delightful, a kind of homey ecstasy! Which is how the process is supposed to feel when we get used to personal growth.
